Virtech is a research-intensive company driving innovation through more than 20 EU-funded
projects, focused on AI, digital health, smart city infrastructure, edge computing, and the
computing continuum.
This presentation overviews flagship initiatives: NutriWell, a platform for personalized nutrition
& wellness that has been funded by the DRG4Food project and validated with end users and
stakeholders. ENACT, a recently launched exposomics project under Virtech’s leadership, which
investigates environmental exposures (air, noise, light) and their long-term health impacts for
non-communicable diseases. By leveraging cutting-edge architectures (edge & cloud, federated
AI, digital twins), these projects show measurable effects: healthier communities, sustainable
urban planning, improved citizen well-being. Virtech combines technical excellence with ethical
& societal values. The talk will also map out collaboration opportunities with academia,
industry, and policy makers, showing how responsible innovation under EU research
programmes can become a strategic asset in addressing climate change, healthcare resilience
and the digital transformation of our cities.
